Bethel Students Beat the Market

Bethel High's Zack Prout and Miguel Pereira took first and second place respectively in the North Atlantic Region DECA Stock Market Game. Their classmate, Vatsal Bhagwani also finished 18th in the ICDC qualifying event which ran from September to December, 2010.

The SMG, an internet competition, allows students to test their skills against other DECA members in all aspects of portfolio management including stock selection, buying, and selling. Zack and Miguel's portfolios increased greater than any other competitors, earning them the top spots. The top 25 teams in each region automatically qualify to present their portfolios at ICDC.
