DECArate this Winter!

This year the CT DECA Executive Council is hosting a winter DECArating competition between chapters! The chapter that can DECArate the outdoors using snow this winter will receive a basket full of five dollar gift cards to be shared throughout your chapter!

Objective: For DECA members to increase their communication, innovation, and teamwork skills by building and decorating a snow fort this winter.

Scoring: The more you build, the more points your earn!  The chapter with the most points wins!  Points will be awarded based on the following:

• Snow Forts - 100 points
• Snow Forts Greater than 5' tall and 5' wide - 75 additional points
• Snow Fort that can fit two people inside - 75 additional points
• Each Snowman Built - 50 points
  
• Dress your snowman with clothing - 10 additional points each
• Snowman with coloring (food coloring, etc.) - 25 additional points each
• Include your chapter's banner or a DECA sign in the photo - 100 points
• Each Snow Angel - 10 points

Ties will be broken by the team who completed the greatest number of items in the list.  Submit all photos in the form of PowerPoint Presentations.  Be sure to label all listed items for scoring in each of your photos. 

Please forward all presentations to Mr. Leete by midnight on March 7, 2011. Late entries will not be accepted.
