CT DECA Successful in 2009 Virtual Business Challenge1/1/2010
CT Chapters enjoy success at the state and national levels in the first segment of the Knowledge Matters Virtual Business Challenge. Congratulations to advisor, Karen Fildes and the Bethel High School DECA chapter for their success in the first round of the Virtual Business Challenge. The following students placed first in Connecticut and qualified to represent the North Atlantic Region in the National Virtual Business Challenge Finals in Louisville at ICDC:
In the inaugural H & R Block Dollars and Sense Challenge, the team of Kris Shierholz and Sean Madar from Notre Dame-West Haven placed first in the state and third in North Atlantic Region. A "tip of the cap" goes to ND's finance teacher Jason Shea. The 2nd competition is now underway in all three areas. Teams could compete now through January 29th using a competition version of the software, and earn a chance to compete at ICDC in Louisville.
